Music photography in Kent and Sussex. I have worked with a number of bands and love capturing the energy of your live performances and producing creative promo images. 

It was the work of Anton Corbijn that first turned my head to music photography. It was his work on U2's Joshua Tree album that really struck a chord with me. His grainy monochromatic images were powerful and distinctive.

Music has always been a big part of my life and it is always good to be able to bring two passions together. I've worked with a number of bands shooting everything from live performances to promo and cover work.

GIGS AND LIVE PERFORMANCE PHOTOGRAPHY

Capturing the essence of performance

I love capturing the essence and energy of a live performance. Gig photography comes with its own challenges as venues differ considerably in access and lighting. The key to getting the best results is to get to know the venue, the setup and to have realistic expectations of what is possible in the conditions. You need the right kit and a proper understanding of how to get the best out of it.

I’ve worked in a variety of venues throughout the South East such as The Forum in Tunbridge Wells, The Grey Lady in Tunbridge Wells, The Green Door Store in Brighton, Halfmoon in London, The Haunt in Brighton, Festivals, Clapham Grand in London

I use professional cameras and lenses well suited for low light photography to ensure I can work in most environments.

LOCATION AND PROMO PHOTOGRAPHY

I love location work. I am often working in the outdoors through a love of the landscape. I always keep my eyes open for great spots to shoot in. I've travelled and explored widely throughout the South East and the wider UK. I'm an ideas person and I think outside the box when it comes to creative concepts.

I have plenty of ideas for great album covers and really enjoy bouncing ideas around with other creatives. I already have a considerable catalogue of images many shot with album and book covers in mind.

Working outdoors in both urban areas and in the wilds comes with its own challenges. I know the ins and outs of working in these environments, when to go to achieve the best results.

BAND AND GIG PHOTOGRAPHY PRICING

Simple and Cost Effective
I generally charge by the hour or by the half day and this includes standard editing and all Hi-res images. More complex editing is charged at my editing rate. How you use my work has a bearing on the fee I charge. I offer 'Limited Usage Rights' as standard but I'm happy to offer 'extended licenses' for a fee.

Not every project is the same and I will always work to tailor a price for you.

ADDITIONAL PRICING AND EXPENSES

I include local travel within 10 miles. Occasionally for jobs further away I charge a reduced rate for travel. Standard editing is inlcuded within my rates but more advanced editing is charged at a reduced rate.

Any additonal expenses such a venue entry etc will be charged at cost and agreed in advance.

ADVANCED EDITING£25 per hour

TRAVEL TIME£10 per hour (Beyond 10 MIles)

MILEAGE RATE£0.50 per mile (Beyond 10 MIles)

Re-touched high resolution digital files to print and share.
I maintain secure backups of all your images. All items are backed up for 5 years.
Online password protected galleries on my website and/or via Cloud Storage.
I have full public liability insurance enabling me to operate in almost all venues.
